Social Studies - Mexico

The students are studying Mexico.  Mexico's stone is Jade.  It's flag is red, white and green with an eagle, snake and cactus on it. The official language is Spanish.  The coin is a peso. The official religion is Catholic.   We also  learned about Our Lady Of Guadeloupe.  They use maracas and pinatas at celebrations. They wear sombreros because  the climate is hot.
